In testing we took a single 3/16" Nitride bit and drilled through a titanium drill bit and a 3/8" thick AR500 armor plate then poked 25 holes in 1/2" stainless steel. After this extreme abuse the Nitride bit was still able to drill 50% faster than expensive cobalt bits. Not bad for a $2 drill bit!
Although not intended for hardplate, these Nitride bits will outperform all others in the majority of metal drilling applications.
